Mr. Shawn T. Cotter | Operations behind Vice President
I grew up in Rogers, MN with 4 brothers and a father that worked for GE and a mother that had 6 boys. I have been a member of Millwright local548 since 1991 where my apprenticeship was spent; I am a 3rd generation millwright and a second generation union contractor. I attended colleges in Minneapolis and St. Paul, were I studied in Business Management as well as Project Management. I have been trained in multiple welding certifications and positions as well as metallurgical aspects of IGT component repair. I have been trained in steam path repairs by some of the industry icons as well as reciprocating compressor inspections. I have worked for OEM’s and non OEM’s and understand what customers really need and each one is different.
My project management skills have been learned by the book and the hard way, boots on the ground. I firmly believe in treating people the same way I want to be treated. I am fair in my contract negotiations and when working with my folks. I also believe that we have some of the most talented craft and management folks working with us and are very happy with our growth.
I have 3 kids, Josh, Samantha and Charlie and a strong wife Nichole. Life is good.
